Featuring the original Scofield Bible Correspondence Course
Revised By Dr. Ray N. Tharp, PhD ABA, BD, BS, MAS.
A Direct, Individual Study Program For:
1. Lay People
2. Preachers who cannot attend an on-campus program,
3. Sunday School teachers who wish to become better prepared. 4.
Everyone who wish to improve on their bible knowledge.
This Bible Correspondence Course is a revision of the original
Scofield Bible Correspondence Course of 1909. Clarence Larkin
charts which are also in public domain are also used in each
Volume. Each Section or Subject is followed by an examination.

This course is designed for the beginner as well as the Bible
scholar. Most mainline Christians have never had the opportunity
to study the Bible in a systematic fashion in their own time,
their own pace and in their own home. This complete study will
well-equip the student with basic knowledge of the Bible as well
as present basic Bible doctrine in an understandable format. The
student must complete the first volume before continuing on to
this second volume. The third volume will be a stand-alone
document dealing with many different subjects relating to
doctrine. It also will be an inductive study so the student will
be led to his/her own conclusion that will be based upon the
scriptures.

The average student should be able to complete each volume in
about six months. To get the most out of this course, it is
suggested that the student study and then teach in a family
Bible study, Sunday School, home Bible study or other
church-related meetings.
When you receive your correspondence course, slowly turn the
pages and read the captions to get an over-all view of this
volume. Do not attempt to breeze through these lessons, instead,
study slowly while you are thinking through each lesson. Do not
use a secular dictionary to determine the meaning of theological
words. Use a Bible dictionary and a Strong's Exhaustive
Concordance of the Bible. Look up the scripture references in
your Bible.
Some of the examinations are short so you may send two at a time
and others are long. You may desire to send part to be graded.
Always include your name, address, the number of exam and number
each question. The object of this study is to allow the Holy
Spirit to lead the student into the same experience of:
"And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto
them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. And
they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made
as though he would have gone further. But they constrained him,
saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is
far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. And it came to
pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed
it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and
they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. And they said
one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he
talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the
scriptures?" (Luke 24:27-32)
